Nantucket

The Grandkids... installment 1 (more tomorrow)
Nantucket was shall we say adventurous this year :) 4 grandkids and 6 adults in a house = craziness! But, it was fun! Max, you and Ellie, were in a power struggle over EVERYTHING including the baby toys. You and your cousin are both strong-willed... must be a Burger gene :) Nugget, you love me sooo much, you just couldn't stand to have me away from you... like 2 feet away. You were a very needy nugget.

Both of you LOVED the beach. While it took you some time to get used to the water, you had a fantastic time building sandcastles and burying daddy on the beach. Max, you even took some time to snuggle up and have a nap in Nana's arms.

Time together

Max, now that you have decided it is not necessary to show your dominance over Nugget every moment you are together, we have been able to do more things together. We went to Redmond Derby days together (see above). You were so great at pushing Alex (nevermind all the people that you ran in to). Although it was this trip that I decided you really need a leash when at crowded events. A woman asked me a question and I turned my head for about 3 seconds to answer. When I turned back you were gone. I looked around panicking for a good 5 minutes before I found you trying to cut in line at the big blow up slide. It was very scary for me... I wasn't sure how I was going to tell Doug that I had lost his child :)

I always love taking you both to the park... Max, you love the slides (hate the swings) and Nugget loves the swings and is not too fond of the slides. There are no power struggles or toys to fight over. Max, the only time I can even get you in a swing is when Nugget is in one. You, of course, have to try and then hate it :) I love the picture of you both on the rocking horse together. My sweet boys.
